Do you use QuickBooks Online with Shoeboxed? Well, we’ve got some great news for you! We’re thrilled to announce that our brand new integration with QuickBooks Online is live and available for use in your online account.

The updated integration features a brand new app that connects Shoeboxed with QuickBooks Online using our new API, which is awesome because:

  • You don’t need to wait for the export to complete! We’ll email you when it’s done (or if there were any errors) so you can get back to your to-do list in the meantime.
  • We now keep track of which receipts you’ve already exported, so no reason to worry about sending duplicates.
  • There’s no more manual syncing with your Chart of Accounts – just pick the receipts you want to export and we’ll remember the rest. We’ll sync automatically when you connect with QuickBooks Online and re-sync each time you start an export.
  • As always, we automagically remember what vendors and payment types you’ve used in the past so that future exports take less time.

Overall, it’s a simpler and more reliable way to quickly get all of your receipt data into QuickBooks Online!

Our sales, marketing, product, customer support and executive teams will be moving to the American Underground at Main Street as the anchor tenant of their largest hub in downtown Durham. We can’t wait to join the awesome community of entrepreneurs and startups and thrive on the energy that American Underground creates.

So what does this mean for you?

If you usually send Magic Envelopes or mail your documents through the US Postal Service, we’re keeping our PO Box so no change there.

If you send in your documents using FedEx, UPS or DHL, starting February 23rd, all packages sent through FedEx, UPS, and DHL should be sent to our new address:

We do not anticipate any service interruptions due to the move, so just double-check you’re sending your documents to the right address and we’ll get them processed as quickly as possible.

Announcing Our New CSV Export

We just released a brand new CSV export that we think you’re going to love! In just a few clicks, create a CSV file including all of your receipt data.

We just released a brand new CSV export that we think you’re going to love!

This new export works the same way as our updated PDF export. Here’s how to do it:

  • From your receipt table, select the receipts you want to include in the report.
  • Click Export Selected then choose CSV.
  • Enter your email address (or the email address of whoever you want to send the report to) and click Export to CSV.

And that’s it! The report will be sent to the email address(es) you entered – and we’ll even remember who you sent it to for next time. Once you’ve received the email, you’ll have the option to view or download the report. We’ll also send you a notification in the rare case that the report was not generated properly.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to your receipt table and create a new expense report! We think you’ll be dazzled by the results.
