We’re thrilled to announce that, starting tomorrow, the new version of our receipt tables will be the default in your online account!

    Does it mean that now I cannot see the document (receipt) at all? It shows load 0% for any receipt I am trying to open.

    Hey there,

    I was hoping for improvements with 2.0 and not just a “pretty Face for the interface”:

    Shoeboxed has never recognized the currency on receipts very well, since 2.0 it seems to have even worsened.
    I am still waiting for a feature to “batch”-change the currency of a group of receipts or at least assign currencies to merchants.

    Talking about which: What happened to the feature that enabled me to change/correct/merge merchants?

    And the creation of PDF reports is not working at all for me.

    Assigning/selecting categories is like clicking through a maze…..

    I am starting to have more work with shoeboxed than without!

    PS.: you are aware that there is competition out there that offers more or less the same as SB at a fraction of the price? (xp….e)

    Thanks so much for your feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to try out the new tables and let us know what you think. I’ll address your points in the same order:

    The new receipt table did not affect the way that documents were processed at Shoeboxed; our OCR and human verification of data remains the same as on the old table. If you’re experiencing excessive data entry errors, please contact our support team with your account info and we’ll be happy to look into that.

    For the request for a batch-change function, you can vote on that idea in our Feature Requests Forum, the best way to get your voice heard about which product upgrades/new features are important to you.

    Regarding managing vendors in Shoeboxed, we’re working on a new and improved way to handle that. It will be released soon, and we apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime.

    If your PDF exports aren’t working properly, email with details on which receipts you’re exporting and what error(s) occur so we can help get it working properly.

    What happened to the merge receipts function? There are receipts and packing slips that are both entered and need to be merged into one item. Also, when I make changes to the receipt (such as adding a vendor when it wasn’t read correctly) the changes are not saved. VERY FRUSTRATING

    The problem with receipt info not being saved was resolved yesterday, so please clear your cache and try again. If you still experience this issue, please email so we can reopen the issue.

    How do I change receipts that were erroneously placed in the “other document” file. It isn’t giving me an option to change to to a receipt, only export to evernote.

    Also, I used to be able to differentiate between which receipts I had viewed / not viewed. This was very important as I had to pour over every receipt to correct very simple errors made. ( I did call and the errors marginally improved, some are still ridiculously obvious to be going through your verification process )The time that it is taking to recategorize/ correct etc is VERY FRUSTRATING. It was a 3 step process to eliminate the incorrect cats and get the correct one on all of the receipts.

    Where is the “voting” forum you referred to in an earlier post to get our voices heard? The website in general is NOT very user friendly. My past reports are buried. I have to click on the little manage in the filters column to find my way to managing the categories and hopefully to past reports from there? Don’t understand this.

    I also would like to disable the default categories.
    I would like to not have to create a “rule” for 23 of the same merchant (CVS, cvs, CVS Pharmacy) for them all to be in the same category.

    Apparently the help desk doesn’t respond to emails? I have sent several. . 24/7 is misleading because it is impossible to get immediate assistance. I can’t usually talk during my 11 hour work days and no Saturday hours?

    What does “automatically process” mean. Haven’t been able to find that anywhere on the numerous blogs….why is this so difficult? I was paying $100/month, but no way I downgraded.

    This post doesn’t even cover all the issues I am experiencing.

    I would kindly advise the web design people to put a little less time into telling us about the staffs personal interests and more time focusing on the customer requests and concerns. Scale back the blogs and give me a product I am happy to be paying for. I need the help, so I am willing to spend the money, not waste it.

    How do I show the original currency in the list of receipts? The conversion is nice, but I need to know what the actual amount of the invoice is when searching. Going to display each invoice to see the original amount is really time consuming. What am I missing?

    Hi Jennifer,
    Right now, there is no way to customize the display amount to show in the original currency instead of the converted currency. I recommend adding this as an idea using the Support & Feedback button in your online account so that we can evaluate adding it in.

    Emily – this is a function that was in the old version. Please put it back – for an international user to not see original currency in the list – it is close to useless.
